Privacy policy

This policy explains what Monomakh collects when you play, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as the game needs and we never sell your data or show ads.

What we collect

• Your nickname and token, and a random player ID we create when you start playing as a guest.
• If you sign in with Google or Apple: the email address and account ID they share with us, so you can use the same account on any device. We don't get your password.
• Game data: the rooms you join, the moves you make, and the results of finished games (your place and net worth), so games can continue after a reconnect and you can see your history, and the XP and level you earn.
• Friends and safety: your friend code, friends and friend requests, players you block, and the quick phrases said in your room. If you report someone, we keep the report with that room's recent moves and phrases so it can be checked.
• Technical data: your IP address and basic request information in our server logs, used to keep the service running and secure.
• On your device: your guest session, language and settings are kept in your browser's local storage. Clearing it or choosing "Sign out on this device" removes them.

Guests don't give us an email address. We don't collect contacts or location, and we don't use advertising trackers.

Where it's stored

Game data is stored on our servers in the European Union (Hetzner data centres in Germany or Finland). Server logs are rotated automatically and kept only for a short time.

Your choices and rights

You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account). A guest profile is removed at once; an account signed in with Google or Apple is removed for good after 30 days, and signing in before then cancels the deletion. Other players keep their game results with your name removed. You can also ask for a copy of your data, or for deletion, by writing to support@monomakh.app. You also have the rights given by the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection" and, in the EU, by the GDPR.

Age

Monomakh is for players aged 16 and over.

Changes

When payments or analytics are added, this policy will be updated before they go live, and the date at the top will change.
